The Importance of Time and Sketchbooks
I hadn't realised, until I was looking at my favourited ( is there such a word?) photos on Flickr, that I had taken influence from these alphabet discs in the Mary Greg Collection...they have long been one of the finds we made which I have really liked...but it wasn't until I stopped thinking about them, that I ended up making the Pocket Party Popper Card Disc Holders. Which you can see looks very similar.

So it does. I love that it all happened subconsciously. I think a lot of the making process (and writing too) happens like that. It is so like the Mary Greg counter holders. I wonder what else will happen subconsciously...?
I had looked at the counters a lot early on...this also reinforces the importance of using sketchbooks. At the time, you know these objects have significance to your work..but at the time you can't think what that could be..things take time to ferment.
I might rename this post "the importance of time"
Yes, do. And the importance of sketchbooks.
