I am on a roll..hope it lasts..

Using this new approach to my work and collection is really helping me...the need for an exhibition deadline has gone..I am just making for the sheer pleasure of it, which is as it should be.
Made a paper popper card disc holder at the weekend...my soldering leaves a lot to be desired..but I just wanted to get one made and tested.
it works.
Plan to make 2 more and a smaller version...as you can fit a lot  of card discs in a small space.

about 20 discs in there already

Sprung coin case that inspired me.
Plus this sixpenny money bank.

Thoughts from a day in the workshop

Left my memory aid/Right found roll of mending tape.

Open Ended Research...
Even on the best day you need a plan..or a question to help you on your journey.
So what am I doing?
I realised today that I do get very influenced by my A1 Scrap Metal Collection.
So I have set myself a project to "copy" a number of the objects in my collection and from other museum collections.... not  exactly....just using the essence of them..and giving them new uses.
As above...the design of the roll of mending tape...re-used as an memory aid (shopping list roll).
See how this goes.....
